The Estate Range
These are our foundation wines and our premium range; French varieties which highlight the Mornington Peninsula’s claim as a leading chardonnay and pinot noir growing region. These wines use fruit grown at our home vineyard for Cri de Coeur, Kangerong and The Zumma, as well as grapes sourced from selected regional growers for the Peninsula range.
Cri de Coeur (translating to ‘Cry of the Heart’) is made from the finest parcels of fruit from the home vineyard in any given vintage and has an increased reliance on whole bunch fermentation to build structure.
The Zumma is a traditional blend from the oldest plantings of our vineyard. It has strong sentimental ties to the family, Zumma being Zoe’s nickname as child.
Our Kangerong wines are a representative blend of fruit from across the 11 acres of the home vineyard (7 clones of Pinot and 3 blocks of Chardonnay).
Our Peninsula wines are made up of fruit provided by Mornington Peninsula vignerons selected by the Crittenden family.
Although subtly different in style, each wine benefits from the region’s cool maritime climate and our family’s commitment to sustainable farming practice.
A very fortunate mistake! That's how I now describe the confusion that led to many Australian vignerons (including ourselves) inadvertently planting Savagnin in the belief we were planting the Spanish (Galican) variety of Albarino. Years of subsequent perspiration, education and frustration have resulted in the release of our third Sous Voile Savagnin. A Cri de Coeur (Cry of the Heart) if ever there was one! Rollo Crittenden
Unashamedly this wine has a spicy herbal nose that is entirely attributed to the technique of partial whole bunch fermentation. Time in the glass allows layers of vibrant fruit to emerge until eventually the marriage of these two characters becomes seamless. It is the palate, however, that truly justifies the ferment technique with amazingly fine and textured tannins providing length and breadth to the wine well beyond those availed by conventional winemaking methods. Although drinking beautifully now, this wine will reward substantial cellaring, perhaps even for 24years and beyond.
Spicy herbal nose attributable to whole bunch fermenting. Beautifully fine and textured tannins on the palate. An exceptional wine - the premium of the premiums
Preserved lemon with toasted almonds lead to a textural refreshing finish.
Our flagship Chardonnay, the Zumma, is an exercise in restraint. Everything you would want from a cool climate Chardonnay. Figs, stone fruit, and unmistakeable cool climate acidity.

The Zumma Pinot possesses a depth of flavour and a finesse that belies its new world origins.
Early harvest and minimal oak & malolactic reliance has helped retain its vibrancy with characters of white stone fruit and citrus abundant on the nose and palate.
The fifth vintage of our much loved Kangerong Pinot Noir, which celebrates place, this wine's purity of fruit and backbone is a must drink for lovers of this fickle grape variety.
