“Beautiful spot for wine tasting - and lovely wines. We had an excellent time with Ben who taught us a lot about their wines and made the experience fun. Great value getting the premium wine tasting selection.”

Rollo, along with chef Luke Headon, have carefully curated this gastronomic event to give you a fine dining experience to remember.
Each course will be matched to the Cri de Coeur range (Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Savagnin and Macvin) along with other rare Crittenden wines, including some special back vintages.
Society is a multi-faceted modern dining destination like no other. It’s the realisation of a vision by renowned restaurateur Chris Lucas (also of Chin Chin and Kisumé) and is considered one of Melbourne’s hottest dining spots at present. We are delighted to be partnering with Society Restaurant and excited to be able to present this experience to our club members and customers.

Hence Catto was born. Originating from Avola on the island of Sicily, Nero d'Avola is bright, fresh and elegant.
The wine was named in honour of our Mum, Margaret Crittenden's family heritage, specifically her great-grandfater Ricardo Catt, who was actually Ricardo Catto (Catt was the anglicised version), and this image found in a family photo album which belonged to Margaret.
This artistic impression of red grapes being hand harvested and hand pressed made the perfect image for a label, and it now has more meaning for the family knowing Margaret had Italian heritage.
The 2020 Catto proved very popular, and we're excited to release another vintage of this wine, the 2022 Catto Nero d'Avola.
With Dad's lifelong commitment to Italian varietals, it's exciting to share another of Dad's passion projects with you.
You can buy it online now for $30 per bottle or Wine Alliance members can access the wine at a special price. Talk to our team to find out more - phone 03 5987 3800 or email winecentre@crittendenwines.com.au.
Here's an introduction to what's happening in the winery this vintage with Rollo Crittenden.
He also states…
“This wine is not only different, and stellar, it has the ability to stop you in your tracks, and make you think. It’s like a piece of art; it asks questions of you, as you ask questions of it.”
The article appears in the Feb/March edition of The Halliday Magazine which is about to hit the newsagent stands any day now…
Just a note – the current vintage of the Savagnin – 2017 – is all but sold out. 2018 will be released around August this year.
