Crittenden Estate is an iconic vineyard, winery and wine centre located in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula, one hour’s drive south of Melbourne. The home vineyard, first planted in 1982, is situated on the lower northern slopes of Red Hill and has ideal conditions for growing traditional cool climate European varieties. Its ideal sandy loam soils, considerable vine age and close proximity Port Philip Bay each contribute immeasurably to the premium wine styles that the Crittenden family have become known for. Crittenden Estate is now known as one of the Mornington Peninsula's iconic wineries and is a must visit on a winery tour agenda.

After growing up on the farm the second generation of Crittendens are now fully immersed in the running of the business. Garry Crittenden’s son Rollo is now Viticulturalist & Winemaker whilst daughter Zoe takes care of the marketing. The third generation, whilst too young to be helping in the vineyard yet, enjoy the pleasure of being surrounded by vines and dirt.

The range of wines on offer at Crittenden, all available for purchase online and at the Crittenden Wine Centre, reflect Garry and Rollo’s innovative winemaking styles. As one of the first producers in the country to embrace styles from Italy and Spain they have developed a reputation for taking an experimental approach towards their wine making. Tradition, however, also plays a large part in the production of their award winning Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays from an area that is now becoming pre-eminent as one of the country’s most well reputed regions for these two styles.

Crittenden Estate is a centrally located Mornington Peninsula winery in Dromana and is within 15km of the following towns: Red Hill, Main Ridge, Balnarring, Merricks, Point Leo, Shoreham, McCrae and Rosebud.

Escape to Flinders for the March long weekend and take time to share some delicious food and fabulous local wines with your friends at the ‘Friends of Flinders Pinot Dinner’ on Saturday 11th March. 

In conjunction with other Mornington Peninsula wineries Ocean Eight and Scorpo we are proud to be a part of this dinner where the award-winning chef at Flinders Hotel, Giuseppe Pisciotta, will create a four-course menu designed to share. The focus will be on produce from the land and sea around Flinders. This will all be matched with a selection of fine pinots.

The dinner will be hosted at Flinders Hotel.

Pei Modern’s original front of house team - chef, Matt Germanchis and Maitre ‘D Ainslie Lubbock will be using the Estate’s own gardens, coupled with local produce and a healthy lashing of fire, to produce Pei classics matched with Crittenden wines. Eat, sip and celebrate as you look out over the property's lake and vines and enjoy the best of what the Peninsula has to offer. 

Enjoy Pei's contemporary take on four shared courses in the immaculate surrounds of this beautiful Estate as part of the 2017 Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
