Crittenden Family to open exciting new dining venue at their Mornington Peninsula Vineyard
The Crittenden family is excited to announce they have taken over the on-site restaurant, with plans underway to transform it into a vibrant new dining destination on the Mornington Peninsula.
As one of the region’s oldest vineyards, Crittenden Wines has been a favourite among locals and visitors since its founding in 1982 by Garry and Margaret Crittenden. Today, the winery & cellar door is run by their children, Rollo and Zoe, while Rollo’s wife, Linda, operates the on-site Lakeside Villas accommodation.
Back in the 1980s and ’90s, Garry made his mark with cool-climate wines, while Margaret helped pioneer winery restaurants in the area, establishing her own restaurant on-site. When Margaret’s health declined in the early 2000s, the family leased out the restaurant, and the Pouliers established Stillwater—a beloved venue for the past two decades.
Now, with the purchase of the business from Zac Poulier, the Crittendens will once again offer a premium food experience to pair with their wines.
To allow for major renovations and rebranding, the restaurant has closed, with the reopening set for Spring 2025. The Crittenden Cellar Door and Lakeside Villas will remain open as usual.
Stay tuned for updates as the family embarks on this exciting new chapter!
