“Zumma” became a childhood nickname for Garry and Margaret’s daughter Zoe, who was affectionately known as Zoe Zoe Zum Zum to family and friends. With such sentimental value, it was the perfect name for this single vineyard limited release, made from some of the Crittenden family’s oldest and most treasured vines.
Tasting Notes
This single vineyard Pinot Noir is fragrant and expressive, with lifted aromas of cherry, wild berries and subtle spice. The palate is finely structured, showing vibrant red fruit, gentle earthiness and a whisper of oak. Silky tannins and bright acidity carry the wine to a long, elegant finish, showcasing both purity and finesse

Media Reviews
Light and bright ruby red colour. Raspberry, crushed rose petals and cinnamon aromas. Lovely density to the black cherry fruit on entry, then we see herbal and gamy notes adding to the complexing intrigue here. Acidity lifts early and tannins are well built, firm but guiding to ensure a phenomenal length and persistence. This wine will no doubt grow further with cellar time.
Stuart Knox, The Real Review
While delightfully fragrant with florals, baking spices and a whiff of autumn, all damp leaves and woodsy, this has an appealing savouriness. Quite herbal this vintage, yet plenty of red and morello cherries plus tangerine/chinotto infuse the palate, which is barely medium bodied. This is led by ultra-refreshing acidity and fine, textural tannins.
