Inclusive design is built into every detail of the Crittenden experience.
At Crittenden, every aspect of the property has been thoughtfully designed to ensure an inclusive and accessible experience for all guests. From gently sloping pathways and step-free access to wide doorways and accessible bathrooms, every detail has been carefully considered to make movement around the estate easy and enjoyable.
Cellar Door
Every effort has been made to ensure that all guests can comfortably explore and enjoy their wine-tasting experience at Crittenden.
- The Cellar Door offers step-free access through a wide entry door, with ample space inside for easy movement and wheelchair manoeuvrability.
- An accessible toilet is available on site for guest convenience, and the outdoor tasting area can also be accessed without steps, allowing everyone to enjoy the surrounding views and relaxed atmosphere.
- Tastings are seated which allows for easy wheelchair access and a personalised tasting journey.
- Information is communicated both verbally and in print and requests can be made for further written details for each wine.
RESTAURANT
The Crittenden Restaurant has been thoughtfully designed to ensure accessibility and comfort for all guests.
- Access to the restaurant from an accessible car-park is via a solid, step-free pathway.
- The entrance is through a wide main entry door and into a spacious interior with ample room to manoeuvre.
- Inside, solid flooring provides ease of movement, and there is a dedicated accessible toilet with left-hand (LH) transfer access and baby change facilities.
- Guests can also enjoy step-free access to the deck, taking in views of the lake and vines.
- Dietary allergies or intolerances are warmly accommodated (please advise in advance), and high chairs are available on request.
- Every detail has been considered to create a welcoming dining experience for everyone.
LAKESIDE VILLAS
Each on-site Lakeside Villa has been thoughtfully designed to accommodate guests with varying needs.
- For those with limited mobility or using a wheelchair, the villas feature ramp access from a private carport, spacious interiors with wide clearances and solid flooring.
- Accessible bathrooms have grab rails, a roll-in shower and a handheld shower rose.
- A shower chair or temporary door ramp can be provided on request.
- Guests travelling with carers are welcome - each villa includes a sofa bed, which is complimentary with a Companion Card.
- We also welcome families, with cots and high chairs available on request, noting that the villas are positioned over the lake and children must be supervised.
- Guests with allergies or intolerances are encouraged to advise us at the time of booking (48 hours’ notice required), and communication assistance is available via the National Relay Service for those who are d/Deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech difficulty.
