2014 Kangerong Chardonnay
For the month of April, we have opened the doors of our Museum back vintages and are pouring our 2014 Kangerong Chardonnay in our Cellar Door, available to taste for our visiting Chardonnay enthusiasts.
This 12-year-old Chardonnay is drinking beautifully right now, proving that well-made Chardonnay stored correctly, can, without doubt, continue to evolve in the bottle over many years. It has a deep golden hue in the glass, with a rich full-bodied profile on the palate. Think hazelnut, citrus, dried apricot and fig, with underlying notes of marmalade, butter and caramel.

Tasting Notes
2014 was a cool wet vintage on the Mornington Peninsula, combined with windy days through October and November, resulting in poor flowering and low yields. Despite the small crop, the warmer summer months enabled some high-quality, intense fruit characteristics and structured acidity, making this wine perfect for ageing.
Best Paired With
We think this wine is drinking perfectly now as a cheeky glass on its own or perhaps paired with some grilled seafood or roast chicken.
