2022 Catto

Catto is a label is one of Garry' Crittenden's labels, first made in 2020. The legendary Italian variety Nero D'Avola has its origin near the town of Avola in southern Sicily. Translated it means "Black of Avola" and is named as such due the grape's distinctive dark colouring. 

Italian Nero d’Avolas possess elegance and finesse, quite remarkable given the warm climate in which they are grown. They are always bright and fresh with astonishing crimson luminescence, somewhere between say a Pinot Noir and a Shiraz.
